Teamlead Laboratory
The Lab Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination of laboratory activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, overseeing the quality of mineral testing conducted in the laboratory, leading the lab employees, and supporting and participating in performance reviews.
Key Responsibilities

Testing
Conduct various laboratory tests supporting commercial test work and R&D projects (e.g., HPGR, Screens, VSM, AC).Perform metallurgical lab tests (e.g., Bond Work Index) on diverse minerals to collect structured data supporting process optimization projects.Design adequate test setups and ensure the availability of necessary materials and measuring instruments.Calibration of test setups and tools.Analyzing
Analyze test results and data to ensure the quality and accuracy of the tests.Determine if the proposed testing methodology meets the required standards and is practically feasible.Reporting
Compile reports by gathering relevant data to support project needs efficiently and accurately.Report obtained measurement data to the requester (e.g., Sales or colleagues).Managing
Lead improvement projects in the laboratory (health, safety, efficiency).Manage administrative tasks such as shipments, stock control, lab supplies, and organizing meetings.Maintenance and repair of test or laboratory equipment.Supervise and lead local lab team, ensuring effective team performance and development.Support and participate in performance reviews and development discussions.Communication
Support Head of Physical test centres in delivering consistent protocols and procedures across all physical test centres.Support Head of Physical test centres with clear visibility on test status and planning activity to allow escalation if required and support delivery of plans on time to required quality.Maintain regular communication with customers, process team and suppliers to secure optimal solutions.Share information and results with the team and other stakeholders.Education & qualification
Hands-on team leader with strong organizational skills.Bachelors degree preferably in miningThorough knowledge of laboratory safety standards and protocols.Experience in conducting various laboratory tests and metallurgical tests.Skills in managing administrative tasks and organizing meetings.Skills in supporting test data management strategies.Our offer
