Team - Utility Packages - Mechanical & MHS - GCP

Group Category Procurement (GCP) is formed for Strategic Sourcing of Categories Packages (~60-70% Group CAPEX) under 6 key Categories – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical & MHS, MEP, Interior & Finish, and Bulk/ ARC/ Group Services. The Key Focus areas for GCP are : 
- Vendor Development / Engagement Strategy
- Value Engineering (Alt. Material/ Technology)
- Market Intelligence & Benchmarking
- Cost Efficiency Through Economies of Scale & Standardization through Value Engineering

Requirements Review:
Review of requirements of various Businesses; seek additional information if required
for correctness & completeness of the requirements.
Identifying the type and method of procurement (depending on type of material/
services to be procured, value, delivery timeline etc.)
 Consolidation, Value engineering and Standardization:
 Developing consolidation synergy at group level,
 Identify alternatives to ensure long term sustenance of the projects, introducing usage
of items and technology having longer useful life compared to items & Techs included
in the existing project plan,
 Standardization of procurement categories, contracting strategy, annual rates for
supplier finalization of group services to streamline the work-flow efficiency and risk
mitigation of business purchase requirements.
 Benchmarking and market intelligence:
 Continuously assess existing practices against leading market practices using market
intelligence tools.
 Include improved price or market forecasting models to align Adani practices with
industry benchmarks.
 Strategic Sourcing for Capex of Mechanical Categories:
Contribute to the strategic sourcing process by participating in activities such as:
 Selection of bidding process, preparation of vendor selection approach and vendor
evaluation criteria depending on the nature of the category
 Preparing the request for information (RFI) document for bidder evaluation
 Identification of potential bidders who meet the requirements (using Company vendor
database, Supply market analysis, advertisement or recommendations from other teams)

Experience
 Upto 15 years of experience of supply chain management, procurement and related area.
 Hands-on experience in awarding high value contracts and entering into commercial
transactions for medium/ large size projects, estimation and cost engineering.
 Experience in working with eProcurement systems and tools (SAP, Ariba or any other
procurement management tool, reverse auctions, etc.).
 Knowledge of the overall purchasing process, strategic sourcing, and procurement
related systems and supplier relationship management
