What is the opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities team located in central Coquitlam, BC is currently seeking a licensed a Team Operations Manager (TOM) to oversee a Top Tier Executive Council team. This is an exciting and challenging role in one of the largest teams in the branch.
This Team Operations Manager will fulfill a leadership role by providing management and employee relations support to the Portfolio Manager and the team and by leading business development initiatives and providing portfolio management support.
Due to the complexity of this role, the successful candidate will have experience working on a high-performing, high-functioning large team. The ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure with daily deadlines, and keep organized while working under frequent interruptions is essential. In addition, this role requires discretion and sensitivity as this individual will be responsible for performance management and addressing any HR matters for the team. The Team Operations Manager will work closely with the Portfolio Manager and Branch Management and reports directly to the Branch Operations Manager.
What will you do?
Manage business and team management with input from the Portfolio Manager.Manage operations and human resources needs of the team.Manage all team operations with as needed and team operations oversight.Responsible for HR management including performance and compensation reviews for the team.Responsible for the training and development of team members. Host weekly team meetings and monthly Associate and business development meetings.Assist Portfolio Manager and Investment Associate with trading support.Assist with any office needs. Assist with opportunity and referral tracking.Client Experience Management and Service Plan coordinator for team.Special projects Team, Business or clients.Manage Information and Technology Strategy and implementation for team.Review, update and ensure consistent execution of key team processes.Must-have
Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask, attention to detail.Professionalism and ability to manage highly confidential information.Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) – Investment Representative Licensed.Excellent people skills, ability to manage different personalities, mature/positive attitudeNice-to-have
Proficiency in Excel and Outlook Mail/Calendar.Post-secondary education.Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in full-service brokerage industry.Management experience.Human Resources experience.Registered Representative (RR) license.What’s in it for you?

The expected base salary range for this position is $38,000 - $55,000.
This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.5x base salary.
