Team - Market Intelligence & Analytics & SPOC - Mechanical & MHS - GCP

Group Category Procurement (GCP) is formed for Strategic Sourcing of Categories Packages (~60-70% Group CAPEX) under 6 key Categories – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical & MHS, MEP, Interior & Finish, and Bulk/ ARC/ Group Services. The Key Focus areas for GCP are : 
- Vendor Development / Engagement Strategy
- Value Engineering (Alt. Material/ Technology)
- Market Intelligence & Benchmarking
- Cost Efficiency Through Economies of Scale & Standardization through Value Engineering

Roles & ResponsibilitiesCollate and analyse key metrics & indices, industry updates (including industry drivers like alternate industries), trade flows, and important developments available on various local & international exchanges / portals / news outlets / journals / secondary data sourcesSeek information from market and through category leads on supply side constraints, technology development, supply chain risks. Work with AI team to develop the price forecasting model with deep down product/category/market bifurcations while maximising industry specific touchpoints and minimising divergence.Develop and maintain a formal understanding of supply side costing through automated tools with a sound set of input variables for raw material, value addition, indirect cost element, industry margin references, logistics and fulfilment costs, lifecycle cost across multiple engineered products / services in close coordination with individual category leads.Keep track of Govt. policies, EXIM rules, international tariff & non-tariff measures in countries of Interest like Europe, South east countries, China, India, EXIM trade flows and any other factors influencing supply / price / policy dynamics of our leading vendors/ OEMsStudy and keep track of best practices, M&A potentials & activities, market gaps pertaining to Categories and  sub-categories.Use the end-results data / information prepare a readily available dashboard and guidance mechanism based on costs & price variables/ market situation & industry environment to aid strategic sourcing and procurement decisions or pricing rationale.Develop and maintain sound ‘industry inside contact points’ at manufacturers/ traders/ buyers/ competitors/ and neutral touch points for above-mentioned goals. SPOC – SPOC between the Category and other Categories and BUsCommunication & Coordination: Act as a liaison between the Category Procurement GCP and BU to ensure alignment on project needs, timeline, and prioritiesProject requirement Gathering : Collaborate with BU teams to gather detailed specifications and timeline for procurement needsStakeholder Engagement: Facilitate regular meetings and updates between GCP and BU teams to ensure transparency and resolve any bottlenecksPerformance Feedback Collections : Collect and relay feedback from BU teams regarding supplier performance and contract effectivenessDocumentation & Reporting : Maintain records of coordination activities and report on progress to ensure smooth GCP-BU collaborationQualification and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation with additional qualification in Data Analytics / Data Science is preferred

 

Experience / Exposure8-12 years experience  with exposure to Category in infrastructure industry Exposure to market research and analytics functions with understanding of outcomes mentioned in the roles and responsibilities and preferably from relevant industry (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / MHS /  Real Estate / Interior & Furnishing / Steel) Industry connects in terms of OEMs, regulatory bodies, industry associations like local and global leading commodity exchangesExposure and experience in Consulting organisation in Procurement / SCM space with hands on experience in handling the Market Intelligence / Analytics outcomes in Transformation Process
