You will be responsible for leading change efforts within the plant to meet global manufacturing standards. You will support employees by removing barriers to their success and developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities. You’ll champion the manufacturing process by ensuring the implementation of world-class maintenance systems.

High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of management maintenance engineering in a manufacturing environment 5+ years of tenure managing large salaried and hourly maintenance teams Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software packages Highly analytical and a technical problem solver Strong collaboration skills Ability to lead change Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Even Better You'll Have…
Bachelor's degree preferred Experience in production preferred. In-depth experience in powertrain machining and assembly manufacturing processes A highly organized leader with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills Ability to interact with all employees in the organization Strong working knowledge of a standard Production System preferred Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma Demonstrated ability to work as a team Strong negotiation and persuasion skills Demonstrated ability to lead, empower and develop employees Demonstrated conflict management skills

What You'll Do…
Safety
Address department Health & Safety concerns Enforce department compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards Enforce safety process adherence for launch-related Pro-Tag and Arc Flash updates, Construction Service Safety audits/compliance checks, and inter-department Pre-Task Analyses Lead data driven maintenance processes to improve quality metrics (e.g., higher FTT, less scrap, less contamination, and etc.) Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions through the Global 4D or 8D process. Provide the resources and activities required to ensure problem free start-ups Facilitate skilled trades understanding of constraint analysis and provide resources for activities to eliminate bottlenecks Champion constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate the bottlenecks Manage to budgets Set, prioritize and provide resources to control and improve Maintenance Cost Per Unit (MCPU) Optimize maintenance activities to improve throughput and meet or beat budgets and production schedules Implement material control (spare part inventory), repair and rebuild programs, and reliability and maintainability reviewsPeople
Disseminate policy deployment, drive SQDCPME, and communicate departmental maintenance goals Coach, counsel and teach subordinates to enhance the One Team goal Promote and support work groups; integrate skilled trades per contractual agreements Set and support Time & Data Management events related to the Maintenance Operating System and enforce attendance
