Job Responsibilities: Leads production team and assembles parts by operating machines or using manual methods in a safe manner to meet production goals.Responsible for all production KPIs (e.g. OEE, scrap, rework)Participates in the maintenance, training and continuous improvement of Team Member Standarized Work.Read and follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures. Monitors production team for compliance.Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Report any deviations immediately.Observe operation of machines and verify conformance of work piece to specifications and dimensions as well as visually inspect parts for non-conformance.Oversees and manages the training for assigned shift in production.Ensure annual safety reviews are conducted in accordance with Magna ESS safety competency training matrix.Ensure staff are trained in the safe use of equipment, material, and chemicals they will be using.Conducts safety training relating to production for assigned staff.Ensure accident investigations are completed in a timely manner.Conduct regularly schedueld inspections of the workplace to ensure compliance to safety standards.

Requirements:

•       High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•       At least two years of experience as a team leader in a production environment preferred.

•       Experience in automotive manufacturing a plus.

•       Knowledge of production assembly line processes

•       Knowledge of welding is a plus.

• Proficiency in operating a computer using email, Microsoft office and ERP system.
