Overview:
The Production Team Leader plays a critical role in supporting daily operations and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement on the production floor. Acting as a working leader, this role is responsible for coordinating production activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing day-to-day guidance to team members. The Production Team Leader models Delta Faucet Company’s core values by setting expectations, communicating clearly, and maintaining a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics. This position requires a hands-on, people-focused leader who can drive performance while developing team capabilities.
Key Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
Leadership & Communication
Lead by example in safety, quality, attendance, and work ethicCommunicate daily goals, changes, and expectations to team membersFoster collaboration between shifts and departmentsSupport conflict resolution and promote a positive work environmentSafety & Compliance
Monitor work areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE usageConduct daily safety checks and report or address hazardsParticipate in daily safety discussions and promote a proactive safety cultureOperational Oversight
Ensure production cells meet daily throughput and quality targetsRespond to and escalate production disruptions such as absenteeism, equipment issues, or material shortagesMaintain readiness of workstations by coordinating tooling, materials, and resourcesAdjust labor assignments to optimize staffing levelsQuality & Problem Solving
Perform regular quality checks and address issues in real-timeFollow escalation procedures, including the Quality Hold process, when neededSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring problemsLead by enforcing adherence to Standardized WorkContinuous Improvement
Encourage team member involvement in process improvementSupport Kaizen events and problem-solving workshopsAssist in identifying bottlenecks and suggesting improvementsCoaching & Development

Lead or participate in pre-shift GEMBA walks and Tier 1 huddlesProvide shift-level updates and contribute to Tier 2 discussions as requiredTrack and communicate SQDC metrics and corrective actionsExecute and sustain daily Leader Standard Work (LSW) tasks including visual checks, standard audits, and escalation protocolsQualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalenceExperience in a manufacturing or production environment requiredPrior leadership or lead-person experience preferredMust demonstrate strong communication, organization, and accountabilityComfortable using Microsoft Office and production tracking systemsMust be able to:
Lift, bend and reach, including below waist level and above shoulder levelLift, push and pull weights of up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs.occasionallyWork daily overtime and weekend support as dictated by production schedule.
