Bloomberg News is seeking a Team Leader, Audience to guide our U.S. audience team in delivering smart, fast, and impactful journalism across all of our platforms.
As part of Bloomberg’s digital team, you’ll play a critical role in shaping our subscriber audience strategy. This means not just producing and publishing stories, but ensuring every piece of journalism is optimized for maximum impact. You and your team will sharpen headlines, choose visuals that elevate the reporting, and experiment with formats — from live Q&As and newsletters to alerts and explainers — that connect with our readers.
This person will lead a team responsible for publishing and optimizing content on our website, managing breaking news, and overseeing our social media presence. You’ll serve as a critical connector across the newsroom.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:Manage and mentor US-based audience editors, setting goals and priorities while fostering professional growth.Oversee daily publishing workflows for our US team, including optimizing headlines, photos, and SEO headlines for maximum impact.Help ensure the management of our social media handles, ensuring our voice is sharp, engaging, and aligned with editorial priorities.Collaborate with homepage editors and the social video team to maximize reach and engagement.In partnership with our analytics team, use data and analytics to inform strategy and continuously improve performance.Work with editors, reporters, and cross-functional partners to plan and execute big event coverage.Partner closely with product, video, and other teams to ensure a seamless experience for our audiences across platforms.Act as a resource for best practices in publishing, optimization, and audience growth strategies.WHO YOU ARE:5–7 years of newsroom or publishing experience, with prior management experience leading a teamExperience working for a newsroom with a paywall strategy.Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced news environment.Strong editorial judgment, with experience in headline writing, publishing workflows, and audience optimization.Excellent collaborator with proven ability to work across teams and functions.A background in business journalism is preferred

Salary Range = 130000 - 150000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
