Team Lead, GCM, Amazon Development Center
Description Amazon Devices and Services is looking for passionate and creative candidates to join our operations team in Taipei to lead the Global Commodity Management team for Ring, focusing on mechanical, electromechanical, and optical. Key job responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Lead global commodities sourcing strategy to achieve cost, supply, and innovation targets • Create and implement commodity roadmaps that align business requirements with supplier capabilities • Identify and execute supply chain optimization opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency Team Management • Direct GCM team in commodity selection, contract negotiations, and supplier onboarding • Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives • Implement risk mitigation and business continuity strategies Stakeholder Management • Partner with Engineering teams to influence product development and sourcing decisions • Translate business priorities into actionable procurement plans • Drive component introductions and key part selections across business units Supplier Relations • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key suppliers • Conduct quarterly business reviews to track supplier performance metrics • Drive continuous improvements in quality, cost, and service levels About the team Ring began in 2012 with a simple question: What if you could answer your front door from anywhere? Basic Qualifications • 10+ years of experience managing commodities within multinational companies, including for products covering enterprise solutions or consumer electronics • In depth knowledge on mechanical and electro-mechanical markets, suppliers and manufacturing process • Ability to develop efficient work processes for complex projects involving many groups, across multiple geographies and effectively coordinate, implement, and maintain those processes. • Demonstrated experience interacting with cross-functional teams (internally & externally) with the ability for effective communication • Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection) • Experience leading strategy development in supply chain management and optimization • A team player with leadership skill and influencing skill • Strong presentation and negotiation skills Preferred Qualifications - Ability to be innovative regarding strategic sourcing, vendor relations, and quality assurance. - Project management experience.
