We have an opening for a dynamic self-starter whose main responsibility will be to build relationships with Convention Bureaus (CVBs), Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) and other destination-related organizations to drive the adoption of Cvent’s technology within their member venues, hotels, and other event suppliers. In this role, you will be charged with developing new strategies to bolster adoption, brand awareness, new business and upsell opportunities with a focus on event and offsite venues and convention area hotels participating in city-wide housing events. You will work jointly with Cvent’s global sales team to negotiate deals and implement strategic projects. Successful candidates will be passionate and entrepreneurial, have industry experience/relationships with the hospitality / events industry, and exceptional networking and presentation skills. In This Role, You Will: Develop and maintain strong relationships with destination partners to expand our network and demonstrate how greater participation with Cvent technology can help them win and execute events flawlessly. Demonstrate product functionality and value for all stakeholders in the ecosystem (housing agencies, CVBs, hotels, venues, AV companies, corporate event planners) Gain speaking opportunities and other exposure opportunities via partners to their memberships and work with marketing to develop and refine content that will provide value to those audiences, for example: Importance of timely responses by venues and vendors to RFPs they receive through Reposite City-wide housing trends and the benefits of integration to avoid manual room list processing Best practices for maximizing pickup and inclusion of sleeping room blocks associated with citywide events. Benefits of 3D Floorplans for area unique venues to help showcase the destinations’ unique experiences and give planners tools to execute their off-site events Track revenue driven by partnerships and related campaigns, provide monthly forecasts and work alongside team to close deals Meet with sales, product, marketing and CS leadership to share learnings, opportunities and seek additional resources as needed Here's What You Need: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience working with partnerships and multi-channel organizations. 5+ years of experience in customer-facing/revenue generating roles, preferably in Event Planning, Hospitality, Event, Sales & Catering, or in Hospitality Event Technology. Ability to multi-task and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-changing entrepreneurial environment. Must be able to integrate knowledge across disciplines to include relationship management, consultative selling, product demonstrations, closing contracts, operation/process flow, and product function. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Salesforce.com or similar contract management software.
