Job Purpose:
The Team Lead, Credit Control will be responsible for ensuring that all credit approvals, collateral documentation, and related processes comply with stipulated internal and external requirements. The role demands meticulous review and verification of loan and collateral documents, timely lodging with Credit Administration, and securing all necessary regulatory codes and reports prior to credit availment. The position requires either a qualified lawyer with proven experience in credit reviews and documentation, or a non-lawyer with equivalent relevant experience, and fluency in French is mandatory. The successful candidate will also mentor and supervise the credit control team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all credit control activities.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all credit approvals and collateral documents meet stipulated internal and external terms and conditions Review of loan and collateral documents to meet stipulated requirements Ensure that all reviewed collateral documents are lodged with credit administration for filing witihin a specified time Ensure that favorable CRMS reports on aproved facilities are obtained before recommending authorization of availments Rendition of management reports and registration of collateral documents Ensure CRMS codes are obtained for transaction before advising availments Ensure conditions for credit are stated in the offer to customers as approved Mentor and supervises team membersKey Performance Indicators:
Responsiveness to availment requests within 24 hours of receipt of complete documentation Effectiveness at ensuring that approved credits are availed only when conditions precedent to draw down have been satisfied or appropriate deferrals/waivers obtained Timeliness in generating required reports as at when due Volume of internal customer complaintsJob Requirements:
