Hudson, NY, USA | Hourly | 18.00-20.00 per hour | Full Time Teacher Aide / Assistant – The Starting Place Coarc Employees Only Location: Hudson, NY Department: Preschool/Daycare (Ages 2.9–5) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM (32.5 hrs./week, ½ hour unpaid lunch) Status: Non-Exempt Pay: + $18.00/hr. (without NYSED Teacher Aide Certification) + $20.00/hr. (with NYSED Teacher Aide Certification) + Bring Your Heart to Coarc! The Starting Place offers a nurturing preschool environment, including Columbia County's only full-service special education preschool. Our team includes certified special education teachers, teacher assistants, therapists, and social workers, working together to support every child's growth. Key Responsibilities: + Support daily classroom routines and learning activities + Assist children with personal care and daily living skills + Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment + Collaborate with the teaching team to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) + Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development + Be flexible and assist in other classrooms as needed Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED (TASC) + At least 1 year of experience with preschool special education children + Ability to complete required trainings (held during weekday hours) + Physically able to lift 50 lbs. regularly (occasionally up to 80 lbs.)
