You'll have...
Bachelors of Engineering required. Minimum 10 years of experience in Decorative Chrome plating. Detailed knowledge of current decorative hexavalent plating process and requirements. Demonstrates technical expertise in Decorative Chrome plating for Exterior and Interior applications and both plastic and metal substrates. Experience working with multiple cross functional areas. Experience with developing, writing and releasing material specifications.

What you'll do...
Lead the Global Decorative Chrome plating tech. team in creating the right specifications for both current and new Decorative chrome technologies. Lead the Global Decorative Chrome plating tech. team in assessing any new hexavalent free technologies. Work with chemical supplier to fully understand their new hex free technologies. Work with platers and chemical supplier to attain testing data proving the different technologies meet Ford’s performance standards. Work with STA and platers to ensure quality transition to new technologies. Support purchasing, D&R, and supplier meetings on implementation of the new hexavalent free technologies. Coach and Mentor D&R and Materials Engineers on the new technologies and how they are similar and different from current. Develop guidebooks for terms & definitions, vehicle & component scalability and commonality.
