TDE Technical Manager

The Team and Role:
The TDE Technical Manager(Test system Development Engineer) is responsible for the HID(Human Interface Device) business unit of Logitech and developing testing platforms and stations for our manufacturing line.

The responsibilities include defining, developing and deploying the test platform/test items/equipment to insure the best product quality for our customers.

We are looking for a senior engineer with a strong software background also well knowing about image processing of webcam and familiar with factory processing.

Develop test plans, and test algorithms for camera tests.

Keep improving the existing test system by phasing in new technologies both in HW and SW. 

Define the features and scope for the new test system.  

Monitor technological trends for testing equipments in both SW and HW then phase in TDE test system.

Develop test stations (covering image quality, optical test, acoustic test, and other relevant tests on the production line.

Conduct pilot build and production data analysis to identify risks, and make necessary adjustments to test station and test plan

Optimise algorithm/software to improve test efficiency and reduce test cycle time.

Collaborate with Engineering teams on functional specs for the product and make recommendations to design and test coverage improvement.

Drive innovation for test modules including surveying new test boards, components, and other equipment for testing systems.

Validate test station concept and fixture before engineering build.

Work with core team members during pilot build phases to address any bugs and issues on the test stations.

Help manufacturing sites to improve performance by joining discussions and reviewing new methods.

The TDE station delivered must be effective, stable and reliable to detect manufacturing defects.

Deliver test equipment to manufacturing while meeting project cost, schedule, and performance requirements.


Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

8+ years working experience of software development relative with image processing and collaboration with manufacturing

Proficiency in Python and capable in C/C++/C# and Open CV or EE design relative experience

Familiar with camera testing and calibration methodology

Hands-on machine set up (webcam test station)

Solid optics knowledge

Capable to analyse test data

Thinking independently and creatively to solve problem

System integration experience

Experience working in multifunctional team

Ability to travel abroad to support test station validation

Communication in both Chinese and English
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

College graduation of Electrical, Computer Science, Software or equivalent.
