Job Description

The Affinity Market Group of TD Insurance is responsible to develop and manage ongoing business relationships with the various professional organizations, alumni associations and employer groups who endorse the Affinity products of TD Insurance to its members.  As a Relationship Manager in this sector, the incumbent will be assigned a portfolio of existing large, strategically important partner relationships in western Canada, some with multiple Affinity product programs.

Main Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, and manages business development and retention activities for existing affinity partners, including marketing campaign effectiveness. Directly responsible for managing alumni, professional associations and employer groups of strategic importance, some with multiple Affinity product programs.Under the guidance of the AVP, Affinity Marketing Group and regional Market Lead, directly negotiates contract parameters for existing partners; plans and negotiates contract renewals.Leads execution of AMG Relationship Management strategy at a Partner level which can include multiple Affinity product programs and ONE TD opportunities.Provides input to AMG Relationship Management strategy through feedback gained from execution with Affinity Partners.Supports budget preparation on a per account basis and manages throughout the year by respecting and adhering to plan.Plans and organizes meetings with affinity partners on a regular basis to discuss action plans, statistical information, rate and product changes, as well as company and industry updates.Works with operations management to resolve and respond to individual client issues and concerns when referred by the affinity partner.Directly involved in the planning of all direct marketing activities.Prepares presentation materials for meetings with current clients.Negotiates contract parameters and initiates launch of new programs.Participates in the planning of client activities and attends various functions. (Flexibility required as events can take place on weekends and/or evenings and often requires travel, including out of province travel.)Plans and negotiates sponsorship of client events which represent the highest corporate visibility and impact.
