Then come in and join Malaysia team as Tax Lead to oversee and manage tax matters for legal entities in Singapore and Vietnam. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of tax policy and strategy in a rapidly evolving tax environment in close collaboration with Country and Regional Leadership Team. The position is primarily foreseen to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operation of the project management through administrative and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
· You will manage direct and indirect tax matters, including corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing. Overseeing and playing active part in preparation and filing of all tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) in compliance with local regulations for Singapore and Vietnam.
· You will provide expert guidance on international and cross-border tax matters, ensuring compliance with local and regional tax regulations.
· You will identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks, stay abreast of evolving tax laws and regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
· You will develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position while minimizing risks, aligned with business goals
· You will collaborate with regional and global tax teams, finance, and legal departments to implement effective tax strategies. Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.
· You will lead and act as the primary point of contact for discussions with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders to address tax risks and ensure compliance.
· You will support M&A transactions, restructurings, and tax audits across multiple jurisdictions.
· You will implement efficient tax processes and leverage technology to streamline tax operations and reporting.

Your qualifications and experience:
Education: Certified Tax Accountant, Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or a qualified lawyer with tax expertise. Experience: You bring around 8 to 10 years of post-qualification tax experience.Your attributes and skills:
You possess in-depth knowledge of tax regulations in Singapore and Vietnam. Expertise in international tax principles, TP, DTAA’s and cross-border transactions. Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and their tax implications. Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems is highly desirable. You have a proven track record of managing tax regulations & compliance frameworks.Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional ASEAN languages (e.g. Vietnamese) is a strong advantage. Willingness to travel within ASEAN region as needed to support compliance requirements. Ability to adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes and drive change in a dynamic environment.Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong mentoring capabilities. Strategic thinking with the ability to align tax strategies with business objectives. You possess excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders.
