Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Staff team member to join our team in Los Angeles, California. As part of a boutique firm known for its personalized approach to tax services, you will play a key role in preparing and reviewing tax returns while providing exceptional service to clients. This position offers a fully remote work environment and opportunities for career growth in a collaborative and supportive setting. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review tax returns, including individual (Form 1040), S corporation (Form 1120S), and partnership (Form 1065) filings. • Review work completed by less experienced staff members and provide constructive feedback to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues and develop effective solutions tailored to client needs. • Communicate directly with clients to address tax-related questions, planning opportunities, and compliance updates. • Assist in year-round tax planning and advisory services to help clients optimize their financial strategies. • Stay informed about evolving tax laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and deliver high-quality service. • Collaborate with partners and team members to maintain a high level of client satisfaction. Requirements • Active CPA license, IRS Enrolled Agent certification, or progress toward obtaining either is required. • A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in public accounting, preferably with a Big 4 or top-tier regional firm. • Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing individual, S corporation, and partnership tax returns. • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail to handle multiple tasks effectively. • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining productivity. • Strong communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and team members. • Commitment to staying updated on current tax laws and regulations.
