Description We are looking for a dedicated Tax Staff member to join our team in the western suburbs. In this role, you will handle various aspects of tax preparation and planning for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all filings. Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed and accurate federal and state tax returns for individuals and organizations. • Analyze financial records to assess their completeness and ensure proper tax reporting. • Create tax projections and extension requests for clients, including individuals and entities. • Participate actively in client meetings to provide tailored tax planning strategies. • Review completed tax returns and prepare quarterly and annual tax projections. • Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information on income, expenses, and deductions. • Communicate effectively with tax authorities to address inquiries and resolve issues. • Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing comprehensive tax services. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and filing with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness. • Proficiency in preparing individual and corporate tax returns. • Skilled in using QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online for financial management. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) for accounting purposes. • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and team members.
