Description We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Tax Accountant to join our team in South Fresno. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced partners and senior staff, supporting a range of tax and accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and partnerships, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Assist with sales tax and payroll tax filings, maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines. • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and provide support during audits. • Collaborate with senior staff on diverse accounting and tax-related projects. • Utilize QuickBooks and ProSystem fx software to manage tax preparation tasks efficiently. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. • Support the team with general bookkeeping and accounting tasks as needed. • Work independently and manage multiple priorities during both busy and off-peak seasons. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field such as Finance or Economics. • Recent graduates or candidates with minimal experience are encouraged to apply. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with ProSystem fx is preferred. • A proactive and open-minded attitude, with a willingness to learn and take feedback. • Actively pursuing CPA licensure is a plus; support and incentives for licensure are available. • Solid understanding of basic tax and bookkeeping principles. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
