Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Staff member to join our team in Van Nuys, California. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of tax-related functions, including compliance, auditing, and financial statement preparation. You will work with advanced accounting software systems to deliver exceptional results for our clients. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review tax returns for various entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Perform audits and analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and provide recommendations. • Assist in the formation and structuring of entities to meet client needs. • Utilize accounting software tools such as CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, and CCH ProSystem Fx to streamline processes. • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation. • Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in tax preparation and reporting. • Provide guidance and support to clients regarding tax strategies and financial planning. • Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax-related activities. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues. Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in tax preparation, auditing, or related accounting functions. • Proficiency in using accounting software systems such as CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, and CCH ProSystem Fx. • Strong understanding of tax compliance and regulatory requirements. • Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis. • Knowledge of entity formation and structuring processes. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
