Description We are looking for a dedicated Tax Staff member to join our corporate team in the northern suburbs. This role focuses on property tax compliance, ensuring accurate filings, timely payments, and adherence to jurisdictional requirements. Responsibilities: • Prepare and submit annual personal property tax returns for leased assets across various jurisdictions. • Verify property tax bills from assessors to confirm their accuracy and completeness. • Reconcile property tax payments and billable amounts within general ledger accounts. • Research and address inquiries related to property tax assessments and billing discrepancies. • File amended property tax returns as needed to ensure compliance. • Maintain adherence to annual business license requirements by managing filings. • Organize and update the property tax calendar to meet filing and payment deadlines. • Provide administrative support for various tax-related tasks as assigned by the department. • Collaborate with team members to streamline tax processes and improve operational efficiency.
