Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Staff member to join our team in Southlake, Texas. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in corporate tax compliance and a passion for ensuring accuracy in multi-state tax filings. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with external partners, leverage financial systems, and contribute to process improvements. Responsibilities: • Prepare and manage multi-state tax filings to ensure compliance with state and local regulations. • Maintain annual state reports and oversee the timely renewal of licensing requirements. • Collaborate with external partners to facilitate accurate and timely tax filings. • Assist in the compliance processes for both indirect taxes, such as sales and use taxes, and direct taxes, including income and franchise taxes. • Provide support for the tax treatment of fixed assets and leasehold improvements in coordination with internal teams. • Identify and implement improvements to tax processes and internal controls. • Utilize Sage Intacct to extract and manage financial data for tax reporting purposes. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a Master’s in Taxation is preferred. • At least 2 years of experience in tax work, preferably in a multi-entity or multi-state setting. • Familiarity with external accounting or tax firms is advantageous. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Sage Intacct; training can be provided for the latter. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate across departments. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, particularly one owned by Private Equity.
