Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join a dynamic corporate accounting team in Willmar or Minnetonka. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of corporate tax functions, including federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, excise tax, and tax provisioning processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your expertise in corporate tax while contributing to a growing and collaborative team environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and manage detailed tax provision schedules and income tax returns, working closely with the corporate accounting team to ensure data accuracy. • Maintain and update internal tax databases to reflect the most current information. • Reconcile tax payment ledgers to ensure proper documentation and compliance. • Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues, including incorrect filings and changes in tax laws. • Develop and implement tax-saving strategies by staying informed on the latest tax regulations. • Administer the sales tax exemption certificate process, ensuring compliance with applicable rules. • Compile and submit accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual fuel, excise, and sales tax reports. • Communicate complex tax information clearly and effectively with internal teams. • Research and apply current sales tax rules and regulations to ensure compliance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational tax objectives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Hands-on experience with corporate tax software such as Vertex, Prosystems Fx, or similar platforms. • Familiarity with ERP systems like Dynamics, Oracle, NetSuite, or JDEdwards. • Proficiency in Office applications, particularly Excel. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. • Strong multitasking abilities and effective communication skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
