Job Description:
As a part of this role, you will be primarily responsible and involved in undertaking all aspects of transfer pricing (‘TP’) topics across entities for the Siemens Healthineers Group (‘Group’) within India and other countries for the APJ region. Reporting to the Direct Tax Lead, you will also support in direct tax and international tax front to ensure compliance with tax regulations, supporting in managing tax risks, work towards improving/ automating tax processes and controls to support the company's business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Drive TP steering and price-setting process and coordinate with global TP team to ensure alignment of global and regional TP policies. Lead preparation, review, and maintenance of local transfer pricing documentation for APJ jurisdictions.Executes and supports on various tax compliances such as filing of Income-tax returns of Indian entities and foreign affiliates in India, Tax Audit Report, tax computation, TP filings and other tax compliances.Manage tax assessments, inquiries, and controversies with tax authorities, drafting tax response, submissions, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing tax liabilities. Would act as first accountable point of contact for tax authorities in India.Drives and supports process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tax compliance and reporting processes. Provide training and support to internal stakeholders to increase tax awareness and compliance within the organization.Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Chartered Accountant or equivalent) preferred.
· Relevant experience 6+ years in transfer pricing and direct taxation with a focus on India.\
· Sound technical knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations and working knowledge of transfer pricing and international principles is required.
· Proficiency in tax compliance and working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and tax automation/ software tools is desirable.
· Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across different cultures and geographies.
Fluency in English is must.
