Description We are partnered with a well-established CPA firm serving individuals and small businesses throughout the DFW area. Our team is dedicated to delivering personalized accounting and tax services with accuracy, professionalism, and integrity. We are seeking an experienced Individual Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to transition into a long-term role with a respected local firm. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and review individual income tax returns (Forms 1040 and related schedules). + Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. + Communicate with clients to gather required tax documentation and resolve discrepancies. + Assist with identifying tax-saving opportunities and advising clients on planning strategies. + Ensure accuracy and timeliness in preparing returns during busy season and beyond. + Support senior CPAs and staff with additional accounting and tax projects as needed. Requirements Qualifications: + 3+ years of experience preparing individual tax returns in a CPA firm or tax practice. + Proficiency with tax preparation software (Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax, or similar). + Strong knowledge of IRS rules, regulations, and filing requirements. + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. + Strong client communication and interpersonal skills. + CPA, EA, or active pursuit of CPA license a plus (not required).
