Description We are looking for multiple remote Tax Preparers for a client in Sarasota, FL. In this position, you will play a critical role in assisting clients with their tax preparation needs, including individual and business tax returns. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who can effectively manage high volumes of tax filings while delivering excellent client service. Candidates MUST have experience with 1040s/1120/1120s/1065s, and experience with ITO/Proconnect is HIGHLY preferred. Responsibilities: • Prepare and file individual income tax returns, business tax returns, and other compliance-related documents. • Review completed tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary tax organizers and address any missing information. • Assist clients in organizing and cleaning up bookkeeping records to facilitate accurate tax filings. • Advocate on behalf of clients by communicating with tax authorities and addressing inquiries. • Utilize Intuit ProConnect software to efficiently complete tax preparation tasks. • Manage a high volume of tax preparations, ranging from 400 to 700 filings annually. • Provide guidance to clients on tax-related matters to ensure their understanding and satisfaction. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements Requirements • Proven experience in preparing individual and business tax returns, including 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1041 forms. • Proficiency in using Intuit ProConnect tax software. • Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and tax authorities. • Ability to manage large volumes of tax filings with accuracy and efficiency. • Familiarity with bookkeeping practices and business financial records. • Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills. • Capability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
