Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in handling both individual and business tax returns. This onsite position offers an opportunity to support our boutique firm during a critical deadline period while contributing to bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting tasks. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently. • Utilize tax software such as Ultra Tax and Accounting CS to process and file returns. • Handle bookkeeping and accounting tasks for various clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Manage payroll processes for client firms, adhering to established timelines. • Assist in meeting business deadlines by taking on tax preparation and review responsibilities. • Upload tax documentation using SurePrompt to streamline tax return workflows. • Provide support to alleviate workload pressure during peak tax preparation periods. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the firm. • Maintain updated knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Requirements • Proven experience in tax preparation and review, including individual and business returns. • Proficiency in using tax software such as Ultra Tax and Accounting CS. • Strong understanding of bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll processes. • Ability to work on-site in Scottsdale, Arizona. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Capability to manage tight deadlines and high-pressure situations. • Familiarity with Thomson Reuters products, including SurePrompt, is a plus.
