Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Davidson, North Carolina. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in tax preparation to manage a variety of individual and corporate tax filings. The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced software tools, including UltraTax, in a meticulous services environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and file a variety of tax returns, including individual (1040), trust (1041), partnership (1065), corporate (1120), and S-corporation (1120-S) forms. • Utilize UltraTax software to ensure accurate and efficient tax preparation processes. • Conduct thorough reviews of client financial records to identify applicable deductions and credits. • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify tax-related inquiries. • Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy. • Manage more complex filings, including estate (706) and gift (709) tax returns, as needed. • Provide guidance to clients regarding tax strategies and planning opportunities. • Ensure timely submission of all tax documents while adhering to strict deadlines. • Maintain organized records and documentation for audit purposes. Requirements • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation. • Proficiency with UltraTax software, specifically Thompson Reuters UltraTax CS. • Strong understanding of individual and corporate tax returns, including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S forms. • Familiarity with estate (706) and gift (709) tax filings is highly desirable. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation. • Solid knowledge of current tax laws and regulations. • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
