Description We are looking for a diligent Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Garden City, New York. This position involves handling tax returns and ensuring accurate completion of all required documentation. Ideal candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in tax preparation and be comfortable working in an office environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and complete tax returns with high attention to detail. • Review and verify financial data to ensure compliance with tax regulations. • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies or issues related to tax filings. • Maintain organized records of tax documents and filings for future reference. • Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders regarding tax-related inquiries. • Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure accuracy in filings. • Meet deadlines and manage workload to align with the established schedule. Requirements • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in tax preparation. • Strong understanding of property tax regulations and requirements. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • Familiarity with general accounting principles is a plus.
