Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will oversee tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex tax projects and collaborate with other professionals to optimize financial strategies. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including federal, state, and local filings. • Prepare and review annual income tax provisions to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards. • Utilize accounting software systems, such as CCH ProSystem Fx and CaseWare, to streamline tax processes. • Provide guidance on entity formation and tax structuring to support business objectives. • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and policies. • Collaborate with internal teams to address tax-related inquiries and resolve issues. • Stay informed on changes in tax laws and implement strategies to maintain compliance. • Lead the preparation and review of sales tax filings and related documentation. • Offer expertise in financial services and accounting functions to optimize tax strategies. • Support the integration of tax solutions within existing accounting systems. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or related roles. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including CaseWare and CCH ProSystem Fx. • Strong knowledge of annual income tax provision preparation and compliance processes. • Familiarity with auditing practices and regulatory compliance. • Expertise in entity formation and tax structuring. • Ability to work with financial services systems and ensure seamless tax integration. • Solid understanding of sales tax and related documentation requirements. • EA or CPA.
