Tax Manager (CPA preferred)
**Req Number** 161318 FlexStaff is seeking a Tax Manager to join our client's team, a leading consumer goods company. This position is a permanent, direct-hire role, 100% onsite in Nassau County. This person will be responsible for the company's tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes. Candidates must have experience with planning for pass-through entities designed for high-net-worth individuals and experience with closely held entities. Research skills in corporate, individual, and state taxes is strongly desired. RESPONSIBILITIES + Must be current with tax legislation. + Research skills in corporate, individual, and state taxes + Responsible for completion of federal and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support + Responsible for audits of federal and state tax income tax and state and local filings + Conduct tax planning + Liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues + Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes + Manage, develop, train and mentor staff on tax projects. REQUIREMENTS + Bachelor's degree in accounting. Master's degree in taxation preferred + CPA preferred + Knowledge of S Corp returns + Experience with corporate and individual tax returns + Must be current with tax legislation. + Research skills in corporate, individual, and state taxes + Compliance experience preferred + Audit experience preferred but not required + Seven or more years of related tax consulting experience + Experience with Partnership and Trust returns + Estate and Gift Tax returns preferred *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
