Description Overview: A growing financial services firm is seeking a Tax Manager or Associate Director to join its tax department. This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong leadership skills and deep expertise in U.S. partnership taxation, particularly within fund administration. The position offers the opportunity to lead a team, manage complex tax compliance processes, and contribute to strategic tax planning initiatives. Position Summary: The Tax Manager or Associate Director will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and filing of federal and state tax documents, developing tax strategies, and ensuring compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations. This role involves direct interaction with clients, internal teams, and external auditors, and requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving tax-related issues. Key Responsibilities: + Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with U.S. tax laws and regulations + Manage the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns and related workpapers + Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax forms + Maintain effective internal controls over the tax process + Monitor tax law changes and communicate implications to internal stakeholders + Develop strategies to capitalize on legislative changes + Build strong client relationships and provide expert tax planning and consulting + Identify and mitigate tax risks + Lead and mentor tax team members + Coordinate with external auditors and tax reviewers + Review and update tax documentation and respond to data requests + Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments + Handle ad hoc tax compliance requests from clients and investors Excited about this opportunity? Requirements Qualifications: + 3+ years of supervisory experience in fund administration or a related industry + CPA certification preferred + Advanced degree in taxation, JD, or LLM is a plus + Strong knowledge of U.S. partnership taxation and fund structures + Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CCH Axcess Tax Software is a plus + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Proven ability to manage teams and workflows effectively + Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills + Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders Excited about this role?
