Description Job Title: Tax Manager Location: 100% Remote Compensation: $110,000 – $140,000 Base + Bonus Are you an experienced tax professional with a passion for investment partnerships? As a Tax Manager you’ll take ownership of complex tax compliance and planning functions across a range of investment clients. You’ll review tax filings, support investor communications, monitor legislative changes, and collaborate with colleagues and clients to provide hands-on service across multiple asset classes. This role also includes opportunities to lead, mentor, and improve internal processes. Key Responsibilities + Oversee preparation and review of federal and state tax returns and supporting workpapers for investment partnerships + Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax forms and quarterly estimated payments + Develop and maintain internal controls around all aspects of the tax process + Research and communicate tax law changes, helping clients adapt to regulatory shifts + Respond to client, investor, and tax authority inquiries with clarity and professionalism + Collaborate with external auditors and reviewers as needed + Support process improvement initiatives and implement best practices + Mentor and guide junior team members; contribute to training and development + Support ad hoc compliance projects and client-specific tax reporting needs Requirements + 5+ years of experience with U.S. tax compliance for investment partnerships (hedge, VC, PE, real estate funds) + Background in public accounting, fund administration, or direct fund experience + Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.) + CPA license preferred but not required + Familiarity with corporate tax is a plus + Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment + Available for one weekly meeting that overlaps with Asia-Pacific time zones (e.g., 5 PM PST) + Based anywhere in the U.S.—but candidates in the Denver area are especially encouraged to apply (optional office access available) Why Join This Team? + Truly remote-first company with flexible work hours across time zones + Balanced busy seasons—average hours are reasonable, even during peak periods + Emphasis on work-life balance and no weekend work + Supportive, tight-knit culture—everyone is known by name + Low ego, high-trust environment with strong leadership and no micromanagement + Exposure to a diverse mix of funds and investment strategies + Collaborative team with opportunities to grow and expand your expertise Excited to learn more?
