Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Tax Preparer to join a small, collaborative office environment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing individual tax returns (1040s) and serving as a liaison between clients and the IRS. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit team and is passionate about delivering high-quality service to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review Form 1040 individual tax returns, with an expected volume of 8–9 returns per dayContact clients directly to gather missing or incomplete informationCommunicate with a wide range of clients, from average income earners to high-net-worth individualsAct as a liaison between clients and the IRS, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of tax documentsCollaborate closely with the lead tax professional (Frank), who will review and sign off on all returnsMaintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of data integrity and client service

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience preparing individual tax returns preferredExperience preparation and review of 1040s Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to manage a high volume of work efficientlyComfortable working independently and as part of a team

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
