Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the primary tax resource for corporate acquisitions, dispositions, and restructuring initiatives, managing the entire tax lifecycle from due diligence to post-close integration
- Develop comprehensive tax strategies for complex business transactions, coordinating across teams and disciplines to achieve strategic objectives
- Conduct in-depth research on domestic and international tax implications, supporting detailed financial models and presentations
- Create and implement organizational processes to ensure seamless post-closing tax compliance and integration
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across Legal, Accounting, HR, and Corporate Development teams

You'll dive deep into tax implications of potential business acquisitions, working closely with teams across the organization to evaluate and structure transactions that align with our financial goals.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- J.D., or Master's degree
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience in M&A and outbound taxation concepts
- Deep knowledge of corporate tax laws, including domestic and international, along with a working understanding of state and local tax concepts
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex tax laws in a business setting
- Experience leading the tax work stream of a transaction
- Experience with large-scale entity restructuring projects
- Strong technical, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Ability to multi-task between large, complex projects.
- Experience managing large-scale project.
- Strong technical writing and federal/international tax research skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $172,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
