About the role:

The Tax job family encompasses global roles accountable for the design and implementation of tax strategies, policies and the tax governance framework.  It also includes the provision of tax support to Diageo’s business units, delivery of projects to create shareholder value, and proactive management and mitigation of key tax risks, compliance and reporting.

This is a part-time role that will deliver general tax compliance support to the NA tax team with emphasis on state and local tax support, compliance with state licensing requirements and other regulations to ensure seamless business operations.

Role Responsibilities:

Provide general state and local tax compliance supportGather financial data (SAP, DBS, Regional Finance), and support cash tax processSupport indirect tax processesResponsible for maintenance of business licenses to ensure business continuity in various state tax jurisdictionsResponsible for all compliance related payments including tax return payments, estimates, notices, audit payments and all aspects of indirect tax paymentsCoupa user for tax teamAssist with team budget

Leadership Responsibilities and Capabilities:

Responsible for displaying Diageo Values Responsible for representing Group Tax with cross functional stakeholders, including NA Finance, DBS and other group functions.

Experience / skills required:

3+ years corporate tax experience in industry and/or public accountingAbility to work independently, organize, and prioritize workload appropriatelySAP knowledge preferredFamiliarity with tax compliance payment proceduresBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance
