Description Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Tax Coordinator to join a team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals, including recent graduates or those with volunteer tax preparation experience, to gain hands-on exposure in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You will work alongside experienced tax professionals to prepare accurate and compliant individual tax returns while learning best practices in tax compliance and client service. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in preparing and reviewing individual tax returns for accuracy and compliance. + Support tracking of deadlines, budgets, and project progress. + Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address questions and provide updates. + Help resolve e-file rejections and ensure proper documentation is maintained. + Utilize tax software (e.g., Lacerte) and project management tools to improve efficiency. + Support monitoring of government notices and follow-up actions. + Learn and apply quality control measures to deliver accurate, timely results. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred (recent graduates encouraged to apply). + few months –1 year of tax preparation experience (volunteer or internship experience accepted). + Familiarity with tax preparation tools (experience with Lacerte is a plus). + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team setting. + Willingness to learn and grow in a professional tax environment.
