Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in San Jose, California. In this role, you will focus on preparing accurate and compliant tax returns while collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure a seamless process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in individual tax preparation and expertise in utilizing tax software to streamline operations. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review individual tax returns with accuracy and compliance to regulations. • Monitor deadlines, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure timely completion of projects. • Identify potential risks or issues in tax engagements and implement effective solutions. • Collaborate with clients and team members to address inquiries and provide updates on project status. • Ensure all tax documentation and compliance standards are met, including resolving e-file rejections. • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards for deliverables. • Utilize tax and project management software, such as Lacerte, to enhance workflow and team collaboration. • Monitor and address government notices related to tax filings. • Submit completed tax projects for client review and follow up as necessary. • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and integrate best practices into workflow Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. • At least 1 year of experience in tax preparation, with a focus on individual tax returns. • Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software and other relevant tax preparation tools. • Strong understanding of tax compliance standards and engagement cycles. • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. • Experience with project management tools and platforms to streamline operations. • Capacity to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
