Tax analyzes and supports the activities, operations, reporting obligations and transactions of the firm’s business lines to ensure that tax consequences and reputational risks are evaluated appropriately. Our work contributes directly to the firm’s success, and the division is ideal for creative and collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail.

 

The team is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the firm’s compliance with reporting authorities around the globe and managing related inquiries from a variety of the firm’s businesses across established and emerging markets.  Day-to-day team functions include accurate and timely account documentation and monitoring, withholding, client information reporting, and regulatory filings.  The team also provides critical subject matter expertise and functionally-aligned support during the design, testing and implementation of related systems and processes.  The team capitalizes on opportunities to optimize procedures and build scalability through data analytics and efficient use of technology.

 

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

High visibility role where you will work with senior management and teams across regions to drive initiatives and issue resolutionDevelop deep subject matter expertise in relevant tax systems, procedures and requirementsGain a comprehensive understanding of multiple business lines across the firm in a role offering broad exposure to many divisions and groupsUse your inquisitive mindset to identify control weakness, mitigate risk, improve timeliness in regulatory reporting response times and further process automationAct as a risk manager through ongoing assessment and awareness of the tax regulatory environment and the firm’s adherence to applicable tax reporting obligationsRepresent Tax in firm wide technology projects by partnering with key contacts and stakeholdersTroubleshoot current applications and determine change enhancements to meet functional and technical standards through engagement with other business analysts and stakeholdersCreates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures (e.g., technical documentation) for tax products in close collaboration with the product development team; review and report test results; participate in production verification, validation, and issue managementConduct interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation, and are strong advocates for the end user as they assume their persona when creating content. Help teams adopt a documentation-driven development model, which enables a team to think early on about how their tax application or service will behave. Document engineering processes and specifications, recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements and produce products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.Identify opportunities for process improvements and application of technology “best practices” 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor degree and 4+ years relevant work experience in Math, Computer Science, Operations, Accounting, Finance or related field leading teams, functions and projects.Excellent Communication Skills and ability to prioritize workload to drive results, solve problems and take accountability for deadlines / outcomesProven leadership abilities, with demonstrable skill leading through influence, building consensus, and managing up to senior/executive-level stakeholdersAbility to work in project teams to help formulate the implications of a specific solution across the process, e.g. costs, risk, potential for re-use of services developed, etc.Demonstrated ability to work across products, regions and functions, preferably in the financial services industryDemonstrate excellent people management skills and ability to influence key stakeholders outside their direct controlBe highly collaborative, team-oriented and strong consensus builderRemains composed under pressure, prioritizes and makes decisions in a fast-paced environment with risk mindset

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong data analysis skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Python, User Testing, Visio, JIRAExperience in decision modelling, process transformations, writing technical and functional requirements, performing root cause analysis and executing UAT testing.Exposure to programming languages i.e., Java, C++, PythonExposure to AI / LLMKnowledge of Corporate Tax or Finance functions and the Financial Services and Banking IndustryPrior Tax related work experience in translating regulatory guidance into systematic solutions for risk mitigation and fulfill compliance mandates.
