Description Robert Half has partnered with a small financial advisor to hire a Tax Associate to join their team in Annapolis, Maryland. You must have an active CPA or EA license as you will be signing off on all tax returns. In this role, you will provide expert tax preparation, research, and planning services to individuals and businesses while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving financial processes for clients. Responsibilities: • Prepare and file accurate tax returns, schedules, and forms to ensure timely submission and payment of taxes. • Verify financial records, identify discrepancies, and ensure compliance with tax laws. • Perform in-depth tax research to address complex issues and provide actionable recommendations. • Offer strategic guidance to management on improving financial performance and tax efficiency. • Stay current with changes in tax laws and industry standards to deliver informed advice. • Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial operations. • ....and more!! Requirements • Active Enrolled Agent (EA) certification or CPA certification is required. • Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal tax regulations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and other accounting software. • Effective communication and organizational abilities. • Experience with various Tax Software and tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and estates. • Familiarity with quarterly tax filings and trust accounting practices.
