Responsibilities + Tax Compliance: Prepare individual, corporate, fiduciary, and partnership tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx). + Review Processes: Conduct reviews of tax returns prepared by tax staff or interns to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and standards (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx). + Tax Research: Perform basic to complex tax research to address client-specific needs and resolve sophisticated tax issues (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx). + Tax Planning: Support tax planning strategies for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, gifts, and trusts to optimize financial outcomes for clients (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx). + Notice Review: Evaluate federal, state, and local tax notices and draft thoughtful and detail-oriented responses on behalf of clients (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx). + Bookkeeping Services: Deliver bookkeeping-related services to business clients, including compiling financial statements and assisting with QuickBooks accounting software (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx). + Client Relationships: Serve as the key point of contact for certain engagements, fostering strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor to clients (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx). + Business Development: Build a network of industry peers and business contacts, meet prospective clients, and cultivate referral-based business opportunities (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx). + Administrative Contributions: Participate in firm-wide administrative projects that enhance operational efficiency and contribute to achieving broader company goals (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx). Qualifications + Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply; ideal for individuals with a strong interest in tax and accounting. + Preferred credentials include CPA certification or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation; active progress toward obtaining these qualifications is highly valued. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. + Proficiency in tax preparation software and QuickBooks preferred. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with clients at varying levels. + Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. + Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations is a plus.
