We are looking for an experienced Tax Specialist to join our global tax team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all tax-related matters for APAC locations, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, and driving tax optimization strategies. You will work closely with management, external tax consultants, and fiscal authorities to provide guidance and lead key tax projects across multiple location.

 

Job Description

 

Work closely with finance, legal, and business teams, provide tax support for APAC locations, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations (especially with regard to corporate income taxes, VAT, withholding taxes, and other local taxes)Monitor updates in local and international tax law changes, assess impacts on the group and business operations, and provide actionable recommendations.Analyze tax implications of cross-border investments, trade, and profit allocation, and develop tax optimization strategiesAssist in Transfer Price Pricing and resolving tax disputesParticipate in tax projects, e.g. HTE, liquidations, mergers, acquisitions and restructurings, etc.Provide guidance on tax incentives and subsidies available in ChinaConduct regular tax health checks and internal audits to ensure complianceCoordinate with international colleagues and external tax advisors on tax mattersLiaise with tax authorities, external auditors and consultants to address tax audits and provide audit supportStrengthen internal tax controls to mitigate potential risks

QualificationsBachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years work experience in international tax, preferably within a global organizationStrong knowledge of international tax regulations, tax compliance and transfer pricingExperience in handling complex tax projects, including M&A and tax auditsProven experience in working with tax authorities and external advisors, managing tax matters in multiple jurisdictionsFamiliarity with common software tools in a tax and finance environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal teams and external partnersAbility to work in a fast-paced, international environment and manage multiple prioritiesVerbal and written language fluency in English, fluency in Mandarin is mandatory
