These individuals provide strategic guidance and support across various industries.In commercial law and regulatory at PwC, you will advise on regulatory and public policy relating to PwC's commercial activities; responding to inquiries or investigations launched by regulators; understanding the legal impact on the business of regulatory directives and orders; preparing commercial partners and staff for public enquiries and hearings.
As a Senior Associate in the legal team, you will provide high-quality legal advice and support to the business on a range of corporate/commercial matters, as well as regulatory projects. Your main responsibilities will include:
· Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts and agreements covering areas such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, outsourcing, licensing, distribution, procurement, and data protection.
· Advising on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues, such as company law, anti-trust, anti-bribery, sanctions, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters.
· Assist on due diligence, disclosure, and closing processes for corporate transactions and projects.
· Researching and monitoring legal and regulatory developments and trends that may impact the business, and providing updates and guidance to the legal team and the business units.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written) is essential.
· A law degree and a current practicing certificate in the jurisdiction of qualification.
· At least 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably in a reputable law firm.
· Experience in advising on regulatory projects and initiatives.
· Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· A high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
