Our Purpose: We pioneer the innovations that move and connect people to what matters Responsibilities About the role: The Tax Analyst II is responsible for assisting in the preparation of the Insurance segment tax provision for quarterly and annual financial statements and preparation of global transfer pricing. This team member works with numerous people in various internal departments, outside consultants and tax authorities. In this role you will: Preparation and analysis for global transfer pricing Preparation of annual Transfer Pricing time studies and consolidate into allocation summary Preparation of monthly Canada and Brazil transfer pricing entries Preparation of Tax Insurance Segments Preparation of Insurance consolidated corporate tax adjustments for quarterly provision GAAP to STAT Preparation of quarterly and yearly tax footnote for statutory reporting for the insurance segments Responsible for the administration of certain tax software and tax compliance calendar Assist in the tax department's automation and process initiatives Assist with US federal and state administration of the 1099 filings Prepare tax account reconciliations Qualifications What makes you a dream candidate? Knowledge of Oracle preferred Highly efficient with computer technology Knowledge of US Federal and State Taxation Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail Ability to learn and use new technology Must be able to communicate effectively, work closely with others, and meet internal and external deadlines Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related work experience required Master’s Degree Taxation preferred 1-3 years progressive tax experience required OneSource Tax Software preferred Licenses CPA preferred What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.
