Job Purpose:
 

This position has responsibility for compliance with tax laws and/or implementing tax planning strategies. The incumbent will operate with a reasonable degree of autonomy in their discharge of duties performing, organizing, supervising and controlling tax processes and work product

Analyst Helps implement solutions by reviewing data, determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. They assist with the business case, organizing requirements, translating and simplifying requirements, and requirements analysis. Analysts may also use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project's scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.

Job Responsibilities:

PrimaryPerforms tax research and data analysis to identify and implement tax planning ideas.Performs tax elements of GAAP and Statutory accounting and ensures adherence to tax accounting policy.Manages a process or project within the tax department and ensures timely, accurate and complete performance.Prepares simple and complex tax return elements and reviews less complex tax returns.Identifies process improvements and assists in implementing those changes.Ensures process controls are followed.OtherParticipates in day-to-day interaction with external parties including but not limited to IRS, external auditors, regulatory bodies and vendors.Participates in tax integration efforts for specific process or subject matter.

Job Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience.Designation as CPA or CFA, Masters in Taxation or JD in Taxation is preferable.4 years' experience in a corporate tax department or national public accounting firm.Demonstrated capability to make good operational decisions.Proven ability to interact with, advise and influence peers as well as external parties.Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills.Capability to prioritize workload, identify conflicts and clear barriers to complete work.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$78,900.00 - $118,300.00
