About the Job We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Analyst to join our high performing tax team. Reporting to the Sales Tax Manager, you’ll play a critical role in supporting both sales and use tax compliance and sales tax audits across a fast-paced, multi-state environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include: Coordinate with our outsourced sales and use tax team to ensure timely and correct filing of 4,000+ returns annually. Work with various internal teams to answer sales tax questions. Perform sales tax research and audit and notice response activities as needed. Review all filings prepared by our outsourced compliance team. Provide weekly cash forecasting of sales tax payments. Set up all Tax-Exempt Customers and issue tax exemption certificates to our vendors. Help improve current processes to streamline the sales tax function. Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and various data analysis. Monitor and report on legislative and regulatory changes. Special projects and responsibilities maybe assigned as needed. Qualifications: Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2 - 4 years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups); familiarity with Avalara or similar tax software is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
