Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesThe Tax Analyst offers exposure to a variety of tax accounting, compliance, forecasting, and tax planning matters in the areas of U.S. federal, international, state and local taxes along with an excellent work life balance.
Faurecia North America is looking for a Tax Analyst to be located in Auburn Hills, MI.
The main missions of the role are to:
Support preparation of U.S. federal, international, and state and local corporate income tax returns and workpapersSupport preparation of monthly U.S. federal, international, and state and tax provisionsSupport calculation of U.S. federal and state and local extension(s) and quarterly estimated payment(s) and payment processingSupport forecasting U.S. federal and state and local tax liabilitiesAssist with property tax filings and tax payment processingAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax filings and tax payment processingAssist with local job tax credit and incentive applications and filings, and maintenance of supporting workpapersMaintain and update U.S. tax calendar ensuring all compliance deadlines are metRespond to tax notices and correspondence received from government agenciesProvide support in defending US federal, state and local audits (including income, property, and sales tax audits)Conduct technical tax research and tax planningSupport the evolution of the tax reporting function, tax technology tools, and technological enhancementsOther special projects, as assignedYour profile and competencies to succeedThe ideal candidate will have/be:
Bachelor’s Degree in AccountingCPA and/or advanced degree preferred4+ years of tax experience with emphasis on corporate US compliance and reportingMulti-national corporation and/or public accounting tax experienceKnowledge and understanding of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax principles, state sales and use tax and property taxIFRS accounting principles preferred
