Purpose of Role:
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated individual with a foundation in accounting and taxation. The successful candidate will assist in preparing accounting records, filing various tax returns, and conducting tax research for various African countries.

Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for the tax function for the region which includes, but is not limited, to the following:
Prepare calculations and various tax returns for the region, manage monthly VAT, Payroll taxes, withholding taxes and income tax submissions.
Perform tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives, responsible for preparing and updating tax standard operating procedures documents.
Prepare workpapers and schedules to support tax filings.
Provide general support to accountants and managers as needed, participate in tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities, stay informed on changes in tax laws and regulation.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
B Com Accounting Degree / Hons Degree (preferrable with majoring in taxation).
Tax qualification will be advantageous.
3 - 5 years experience in dealing with tax authorities (tax registrations, tax filings, tax audits).
3 - 5 years experience in preparing company tax calculations for various African countries i.e. South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Ghana.
Solid knowledge of the various tax acts.
