Job Description:

The Tariff Consultant is responsible for solving, creating, and maintaining fare rules and restrictions on behalf of the Company. Additionally, this role ensures tariff filings align with the Pricing intent. This role ensures that fare and baggage codes are entered correctly and supports fare rule filings in the Airline Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO) database. The Tariffs Consultant is strategic, detail-oriented, and eager to support Enterprise-wide operational and revenue initiatives that drive the future of Southwest.

ResponsibilitiesCode all fare basis codes, pass fare filings, fare rules, seasonality, and footnotes to support Southwest filed faresCreate and maintain fare rule filings in ATPCOCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with all levels of internal customersDevelop and run appropriate QC to ensure all fare promotions meet internal and external compliance requirementsInterface with Sales Team on implementation of corporate discounts and negotiated faresPartner with ATPCO, GDS, Commercial teams and other stakeholders to develop support and enhance the functionality of automated pricing and distribution systemsExecute regulatory filings with foreign bodies governing air service using ATPCO systemPartner with Customer Relations Group on ownership of Contract of Carriage and rule regulation disclosures to CustomersServe as initial point of contact for Internal and fare-related trouble shooting and problem resolutionTrain, coach, and mentor co-hearts business acumen and/or technical skillsWork with Technology on pricing and revenue management initiatives and testingMay perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. ExperienceAdvanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:Pricing/TariffsRevenue Management principlesATPCO FareManager systemAbility to code ATPCO Categories 25/35/31/33Familiarity with shopping, pricing, and ticketing functions in major GDSExperience with host reservations system conversions and/or expansion into new tariffs/geographic areasPreferred: Experience with SQL

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $112,600 per year to $115,00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
