What You'll Be DoingJob Summary: Generally responsible for performing all aspects of safety for moderately complex engineering assignments and assisting in managing the H&S program for the company. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Update/inform contractors of any new information or policy changes
Assist TAR preparation and evaluation activities Review Enablon for contractor H&S incidents, share with contract and TA personnelOther health and safety related duties as requiredCheck in with resident and contractors on active work scopes and other issuesSWP Review EmailField CCA/SWP auditsWeekly check in meetings with Safety staff personnelAttend Project related meetings and provide impactful safety inputAttend contractor safety meetingsAttend/support Safety Pro/Co-OpMaintain OSHA statistics for client group, present information when requestedIdeal BackgroundEducation: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Public Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
Certification: No certification is required for this position.
Experience: This position requires 5+ years of relevant TAR Safety
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of OEMS OSH PSM Standard, OEMS for contractor managementGood working knowledge of ISN Contractor qualification programKnowledge performing contractor qualification auditsKnowledge of contractor onboarding training requirementsKnowledge of deviation and compliance management processesGap analysis of contractor safety programs vs company programsKnowledge of incident investigation processStrong knowledge and experience in OSHA, ANSI, API, NFPA and other applicable regulatory agencies.Working knowledge of ACGIH and IH responsibilities including badging, calibration, etc. Familiarity with refinery processes and associated hazards.Understanding of potential chemical hazards and their physical properties.Strong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work and communicate with all levels of workers, from hourly to upper managementStrong experience with auditing job sites, safe work permits, safe work practice and PSM complianceReview TA contractor H&S plansReview/update TA H&S plans for the execution manualStrong LOTO and equipment isolation knowledge and approved work practicesPhysical Abilities Required:
